On May 23, 2018, Bishop Ron Stephens ordained Al Risdorfer a deacon of the Catholic Apostolic Church in North America, surrounded by the laity, clergy and bishops of CACINA at the General Assembly at St. Mary's of Providence in Elverson, Pennslvania.
The Star Tribune reports that "After a diverse career, including 10 years as a toy buyer; eight as a flight attendant; nearly two decades as a paralegal, and years as a project manager, the 70-year-old great-grandfather is answering a lifelong call."
On Tuesday, February 27th, the Coalition Against Child Sex Abuse gathered at the State Capitol in Albany, New York.

Members of Holy Innocents Cathedral and Saint John of God parish, celebrated the opening of the new Albany Damien Center, which will house the centers programs, staff and 20 permanent and supportive apartments for 22 people living with HIV/AIDS, who are chronically homeless.
